Privacy
Kiplet Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
This page is about the health information you add to Kiplet, sometimes called consumer health data. It follows Washington’s My Health My Data Act and works the same for everyone, wherever you live. For everything else Kiplet keeps, see the Privacy Notice.
1. What health data we keep
Only what you add: your care goals (including mental health), your answers to Kiplet’s questions (including the dental safety check), your visits, notes and questions, the medicines, allergies, coverage and memberships you list, copies of records you upload, your brushing routine, any mobility aid you choose for your Kiplet, and the places you choose for care and the ZIP code you search from. If you used the earlier Kiplet app, it also includes the health details you saved there (Privacy Notice §3).
2. What else counts as health data
If you save a Kiplet Cover check, Kiplet keeps your answers: whether you’re pregnant, your income range, household size and age range. Kiplet also keeps the coverage you tell it about.
When you search, Kiplet uses the kind of care and the ZIP code. When you tap “Use my location,” Kiplet uses a rounded spot to find your ZIP code and never keeps it.
3. Why we use it
Only to run Kiplet for you: to save your care, find places near you, help you get ready for visits and give you the copies you ask for (Privacy Notice §4). We don’t use it for advertising.
4. Where it comes from
From you. Kiplet saves only what you type, pick or upload. Kiplet doesn’t get health information about you from anyone else.
5. Who gets it
Service providers that run Kiplet for us handle it only to do that work:
- Supabase stores your account.
- Vercel runs the app.
- The CMS provider registry gets only a ZIP code and the kind of care.
- The U.S. Census geocoder gets only a rounded spot.
- Google Workspace gets only your email, to send sign-in links. It gets no health data.
- Cloudflare counts visits to public pages only. It gets no health data.
Ask us, and we’ll send the list with a way to contact each one. Any other sharing is limited to what the Privacy Notice §7 describes, such as when you choose to share it or the law requires it.
6. We never sell it
Kiplet never sells your health data and never shares it for advertising.
7. Counts we share
When Kiplet shares counts, they are daily counts that can’t identify anyone, like how many people checked their coverage. We promise never to try to identify anyone from them, and anyone who gets them must promise the same.
8. Your rights
You can download, change or delete your health data yourself in My Care → Settings → Privacy & your data, or delete your whole account (Privacy Notice §11). You can also email support@kiplet.health to ask for a copy, a correction, a deletion or a list of who has received it.
We answer within 30 days. It’s free, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.
9. Withdraw your consent
Delete your account in Settings, or email support@kiplet.health. We’ll stop and delete your health data within 30 days.
10. Deleting
When you delete, we also delete from backups within 6 months, and we tell the companies above to delete it too.
11. If we say no
If we can’t do what you ask, you can appeal: reply to our answer or email support@kiplet.health with “Appeal.” We’ll answer in writing within 45 days and explain why.
If we still say no, you can file a complaint with the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov/file-complaint.
